RustyDog specializes in theming and development of today’s most popular CMSs: Drupal and WordPress.
Content Management Systems

A content management system (CMS) is a database that authors, stores, and delivers content. Having a CMS allows greater access and flexibility for a client’s management of assets, especially inside of complex websites and/or intranet development. All of the content in a CMS implementation — text, graphics, video, and other assets — resides in this central repository. Clients can add and edit their own website content without relying on a 3rd party.
Drupal
Drupal is open-source software with hundreds of thousands of development-hours behind it. It gives users the ability to create and maintain user accounts and administer menus. It is also RSS-capable, and offers customizable layouts, blogging systems, and forums. Drupal can also be used to create simple brochure-style websites for small businesses. On top of Drupal’s “core,” RustyDog can install and configure additional modules that allow more functionality.
NASA, Ubuntu, MTV UK, Warner Brothers Recordings, and AOL Developer Network are popular websites that were built on the Drupal framework.
WordPress
WordPress is a blog-publishing application that has become a very popular CMS. It was released in 2003 and continues to be the web framework for both small and medium businesses. It includes easy-to-create widgets that can be moved around your website without knowledge of PHP or HTML. WordPress has a solid foundation and excellent developer resource community with a rich plugin architecture. Users and developers can extend it’s functionality beyond the application’s basic features.
RustyDog provides full-service WordPress theme design and development. We have extensive experience building plugins and custom themes, as well as incorporating your current websites’ blog posts into a new WordPress home. We can also turn WordPress into a full-featured CMS.
E-Commerce

Magento is RustyDog’s choice for an open-source E-Commerce platform. It’s architecture is based on modules and features, include analytics and reporting, Google Analytics integration, sales reports, catalog browsing, product comparisons and reviews, order management, full SSL security support for orders on both the front- and back-end, and a pure, valid XHTML- and CSS-based structure.
