Any damn fool can put on a deal, but it takes genius, faith and perseverance to create a brand.
— David Ogilvy
A strong brand is invaluable for any individual or business. It’s the foundational piece in creative communications, marketing, design, public relations, and advertising.
Branding tells people what the company, product, or organization does through a name, logo, and usually a tag line. By branding – using consistent colors, shapes, and messages – a company can make a huge impact on its intended audience by showing professionalism, pride, and knowledge.
A company’s brand also speaks its personality, giving clients a snapshot of their new, potential partner. Although branding – which includes identity design, website design, print materials, and campaigns – may account for a substantial part of a company’s marketing budget, it should not be considered a cost. It’s an investment with a quantifiable return.
